Building a Profitable Content Website.

An Alternative for True Internet Entrepreneurship!

Internet business websites come in many different shapes and sizes...

Some are "brochure" websites developed with little purpose beyond being a company's online presence and capturing leads for potential sales through opt-ins.

Others are "e-commerce" websites that typically focus on selling the items they list in their pages by category.

And then there are content websites...

Content websites focus primarily on providing customers with a particular progression of content, usually developed around a central theme specially targeted for a very particular audience.

But these "website types" are certainly not mutually exclusive...

Each can have elements of the others...

They're actually often categorized like that to describe their main business objectives and how they go about achieving them.

Certainly a content website should have some products listed on its pages, it may have a shopping cart, and it should definitely collect opt-ins...

But is it designed specifically around its products and opt-in boxes?

Not likely...

To be described as a content website, it's design should center around a particular theme and concept developed progressively through its strategically placed pages...

And as it is, a profitable content website must consider two essential elements that make it specially appropriate for entrepreneurial internet business ventures.

Elements of a Profitable Content Website...

Content websites are special... they're certainly the ones that can provide the greatest experiences on the web.

That's because content websites provide customers with something that's not too common in other websites... insight, personal views and opinion, and a "connection" beyond the strict commercial aspect.

But still, for them to be truly profitable, they must satisfy these vital requirements...

It must be original... by providing novel views on subject matters of interest or by providing creative alternatives for customers to derive value from unique experiences.

Although this may sound like too much work to you, in reality it may just be a matter of considering the simplest little things... like the manner in which content is written or the vehicle with which it's presented.

Also, a content website should be personal. It should "connect" with customers beyond a purely commercial level.

It should be useful for customers even when they don't buy!

That's why content websites are so appropriate for marketing entrepreneurial ventures on the internet...

The fact that many of your customers will initially browse through the web in search of content and not necessarily products, is just a small part of it.

With a properly structured content website you can guide customers through experiences much more special, unique, and valuable...

You'll be providing them with value way beyond the obvious benefits and positive consequences derived from the actual "purchasable product".

That's the real beauty and grand power of pure content websites!
