Generate Sales on the Internet With a Process!

Defining Success Scenarios and Conversion Paths.

To generate sales on the internet it's important to look at the conversion process as the sum of all responses, behaviors, actions, and decisions that customers initiate while visiting your websites...

Actual conversions are the culmination of an intricate process where potential customers must...

Respond positively to what you've set for them to "consume" initially within your websites... e.g. content.

Engage in passionate interest with your internet business, its website, and its offers of value.

Want to continue in excited interaction that will secure a deeper emotional connection.

Act in consequence of particular forms of "stimulus" in any or all of your success scenarios.

Realize the true value of the benefits you've built around your offers of value.

Decide to take the ultimate action to acquire those benefits.

Those are the fundamental requirements of a successful conversion process... they're six elements that must be present for any type of conversion to occur.

Collectively, I like to call them the "REWARD requirements for Total Conversions" not only because it's descriptive and representative of what they are... but also because it sounds so cool.

You may have different types of conversions, each with its own success scenario and its own path...

Some will even generate revenue directly and others will not.

It's impossible to think of conversions as only turning visitors into buyers... that's only one type of conversion.

Surely you'll also want those visitors to subscribe to your newsletters, receive your blog feeds, download your most recent whitepaper, etc.

Those are conversions too! Only their success scenarios are different... a purchase is one scenario, a subscription is another.

You can think of those conversions as hard conversions...

Hard Conversions Versus Soft Conversions...

All conversions are similar, but they're not the same...

They're similar in that specific actions by potential customers are required for them to occur, but they're different in that...

Success scenarios are unique to a conversion's path...

Although the ultimate purpose of all conversions is to generate revenue, many do so directly and others don't...

Some constitute the real and definite end of the process, while others are necessary steps toward it.

It's this last difference that's important in mapping your internet business's conversion process...

Hard conversions are the unique ends of particular conversion paths and the ultimate realization of particular success scenarios... a formal subscription, a definite purchase, a download, etc.

Soft conversions, on the other hand, are necessary steps before any hard conversions are realized... a potential customer's viewing of a particular page, "consuming" content in a particular order, etc.

It's important that you understand the difference and you think the entire conversion process through...

Decide what your final success scenarios should be...

Develop the easiest paths customers must follow, and...

Provide proper "stimulus" to create desire and longing...

Mapping Out Your Internet Business's Conversion Process to Maximize Sales and Revenue...

Mapping out your conversion process entails a definition of the fundamental success scenarios your business requires.

It exists for a purpose... and, although its true purpose may be "to sell and make money", expressing it that way may not be in your best interests.

It's important that you know exactly how the "to sell and make money" part of the plan will actually happen, and what it'll take to make it real.

You need a process...

That involves clearly defined success scenarios that'll ultimately lead to the "selling and making money"...

That involves the collection of paths, actions, and responses with which these success scenarios are realized, and...

That involves your own contributions of value that drive these actions, responses, and the true engagement of potential customers.

Consider the "REWARD Requirements for Total Conversions"...

A customer has a specific need and manages to land on your website.

How will you get him to act upon your success scenarios, and generate some revenue?

That landing page and the content therein must spark a truly wonderful surprise in that visitor.

It must satisfy his initial need or constitute a step in doing so...

His impression must be grand!

His interest is now excited and his engagement secured for the time being...

By providing quality and value, his desire to "look deeper" within your internet business, its website, and its offers of value, is magnified and his willingness to act is increased...

You're eliminating all misgivings here! and...

You've set your "stimulus" by offering truly valuable rewards in exchange for the actions taken.

He understands the benefits in your offers of value and realizes how easily acquired they really can be... just a click away, just a download away!

He's at a crossroads now... a decision must be made.

Yes, that's it...

One conversion realized... on with the others!
