A Vital Experience to Sell on the Internet.

The Customers' First Purchase...

Real Value in Every Customer's Initial Purchase!

The customer's experience during his first purchase is special...

It's vital if you're to sell on the internet successfully...

It'll be the one that truly leaves a permanent impression, and the one that determines your internet business's growth and profitability in the long run.

It means selling well now and in the future... it's a "make or break" deal.

Deliver a fabulous experience during a customer's first purchase, and he'll become a customer for life...

But prior to that first purchase, he's not yet a customer. At that point, he might be a subscriber to your newsletter, a reader of your blog, a fan of your writing, or just a passing visitor.

He's only just a prospect...

Up until this point, you've been successful in staging experiences that attract his attention, and keep him interested...

Hopefully, you've also put offers in front of him that are relevant and truly worthwhile, at least as far as what you've gathered about...

What he wants, expects, and more importantly... what he wants to buy right now, or what he's accustomed to buying regularly.

So you've become more than just an internet business with a website...

You've become a real resource to that customer...

The place he looks to find solutions.

He actually wants to buy what you sell now because he trusts you... and the benefits you've built around your proposal seem so appealing.

But he hasn't made up his mind yet... he still hasn't decided to go through with his purchase!

Your Customer's Experience of His Very First Purchase!

The purchase decision is a very conscious one. It's made in a certain moment of absolute awareness when he chooses to hand over his money...

He's not really looking to assume ownership of whatever it is you're selling...

He's really after the benefits you've promised in your offer!

That's why the customer goes through such doubt and indecision at the moment just before his first purchase...

Will it deliver?...

Will it fulfill my expectations?...

Should I go through with this?...

The element of trust is essential! But trust shouldn't be a problem for you now because you've made your best efforts to inspire that trust ever since your customer first landed on your website...

But he'll finally make up his mind and go through with his first purchase...

Now is your turn to deliver!

For your customer, this is the end of a very long process that has involved both of you for quite some time now.

What's more, it's cost you blood, sweat, and tears to get that customer here... you've succeeded in providing the necessary experiences, and you've managed to create value that he can certainly perceive.

So as part of the whole "delivery package', your customer expects not only the product itself, but he also expects...

An immediate delivery of the actual product or at the very least, an immediate confirmation of it...

And, an immediate reassurance of the benefits he'll have access to.

In short, he'll need some kind of instant gratification... either with the delivery of actual product itself, or with an "alternate" experience that provides similar type of satisfaction.

The Dire Consequences of a Negative Experience During a Customer's First Purchase...

With his first purchase, your customer has given your internet business a trial run...

If all goes well, you'll be fine. You'll have earned his trust indefinitely...

But the slightest misstep on your part during your customer's first purchase or what's even worse, during your product's delivery, will cause irreparable damage to your internet business's reputation and credibility.

Why?...

Well, just imagine having all that excitement and all those expectations about your recent purchase suddenly disappear when you take your first look at it...

You'll feel angry, scammed, and even betrayed... and so will your customer.

So be sure you can deliver a product that provides the experience that your customer expects...

It shouldn't be that hard for you now because if you've gotten this far with your customer...

You know your customer well.

But don't think you can sell just anything, because you can't!

You need more than just a good headline and well written sales copy...

You'll need that, of course, but not without a worthwhile experience!
